So a while back i entered the "Game concept challenge" at Creative coast festival 2017 in my hometown Karlshamn in Sweden. It is a really neat competition that has been won by some great games through the years (like "the shine of a star", "bloody trapland", "Epigenesis" and "Please knock on my door").

In the contest application i attached the prototype episode i made in construct 2 in 2016 and also, in order to demonstrate the current state of the game, a small slice of the current build in the engine i'm writing in JS. As i mostly had loose assets and testing stages at the time  i had to concoct something that was somwhat cohesive and representative.

So what i did was crunch together a small (emphasis on small) scenario that could demonstrate some of the features that were in the game. It was a completely stand-alone affair totally separate from the narrative that will appear in the upcoming game but it was alot of fun to put together.

It ended up winning the grand prize in the competition which was kind of a shock (a pleasant one though) and has been an immense motivating factor for me to continue work on the series.

Bu now i had this small separate, sound-less slice lying around on my disk doing a whole lot of no good to anyone. So i decided to upload it so that anyone interested could try it out and perhaps give a little feedback. I know it's somewhat risky to put something so early in development up for scrutiny but i am a firm believer in the concept of "the only bad feedback is no feedback" so i thought i'd stick chin out and make it available for the public.

Hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you do. Hell let me know if you don't! All feeback is appreciated! :)

follow the development @kaffebaggel

Cheers!
